    1997, charred tree, steel, 9'h 4'w 4'd
Enshrined in a delicate web of steel the charred tree seems to rise or float above the floor defying earth’s gravity. In time the tree will decompose, leaving behind the 'ghost limbs' of its previous life, like amputees who still feel the 'presence' of the absent limb.
